Why wasn't this video shown in science class?

Remember the 2008 Summer Olympics Opening ceremony and that amazingly mammoth-sized but still flexible LED screen that was part of the performance? Well, Sony is one step closer to bringing that technology to the everyday consumer in a more usable size.
This demo is only a 4.1 inch screen, but it shows us what Sony can bring us in the (very)near future!

Adam Savage from Mythbusters talks about a myth they were working on that didn't turn out how they planned, and why we'll never see video of it.
You can see his full talk HERE.

I love optical illusions, especially when they really mess with your head, like this one.

Remember when I told you that NASA's scientists found the Death Star (Saturn's Moon, Mimas)?
Well, upon further investigation, PacMan has been discovered on said moon.
The probe Cassini measured temperature differences while orbiting Mimas, and came up with this picture:

It even looks like PacMan is about to swallow one of the little white pills!

...On Jupiter? Let's build a centrifuge in the living room and find out! That's exactly what Neil Fraser did. And this is the result:

I'm not really sure what to make of this, since I'm not a guitar player. It looks neat, but is it harder or easier to play? The sound is different, too. Pretty soon, we'll go into a club to hear a band play and there won't be a "real" instrument on the stage...

Ever been to Stonehenge? Better question: Have you ever been INSIDE Stonehenge? Probably not. When most people visit Stonehenge, they are kept at a distance and not allowed up to the actual stones (exceptions are made for special religious ceremonies such as Solstices).
Well, the BBC created a 360° panorama of Stonehenge from the center. It's pretty cool!

Enjoy!!

This short was made by New Zealand college student Jesper Kirkeby Brevik for a class assignment. It is beautiful. I hope he got an "A"!

I have no idea how real this is. The guys website is in German, and unfortunately, my German is a little rusty. Fake or not, this is the most awesome slip 'n' slide ever!!!

This is verbatim from an e-mail forward I recieved yesterday.
I seldom pass along inspirational stuff, but this one got to me.
I do believe, that in these difficult and mean-spirited times in
Which we live, there needs to be a message of hope. We can
All use a single image that speaks to us of love, harmony.
Peace, and joy. An image that suggests the universality of us
All. I have been sent that image, and I want to share it with
You. All I ask is that you take a moment to reflect upon it...

Thanks, Dave!
